Okay…before you ask me anything about this post let me clear something. No, I am not a beauty blogger or some beauty expert. I usually post serious things but this time I decided to do something different. I am a girl so I thought of posting something girly. The thing I am going to suggest here is something I experimented with myself and found astonishing results.
Okay now the question comes why did i choose to write about this?
The reason behind this is….recently I had to go out in sun quite often and every time, I forgot to wear sunscreen. The sun made my skin look at least 3 shades darker than my original complexion and I became worried.
I know some people reading this post might be belonging to cold countries and they don’t have to worry about tan or maybe they want tanned skin (well if you want to learn how to get tanned you can ask me any time,,,we Indians are pretty experienced at it…right?), but the truth is we Indians don’t like tanned skin (no matter how much we try to deny it) and some might call me a racist but guys I just wanted my original complexion back(I was helpless 😦 )
Okay now coming back to our original discussion… how to remove a sun tan?
So, when I saw that my skin grew darker due to excess production of melanin :p i decided that I need to do something.
So, what did I do?
It’s pretty obvious…..I googled it 🙂
I found out lots of suggestion like
Okay like any other girl I was really happy when I got various ways and maximum materials were easily available but some of them were not. I somehow arranged everything and applied it on my tanned skin as directed. I kept it for 15 minutes and washed it after that. But to my surprise it didn’t work (not even a little) 😦 . I tried so many ways but none of them seemed to work for me.
I was depressed.
Then my mother suggested me to try something and it worked. So today I will reveal that magical method in front of you all.
1. Clean the tanned area properly by applying soap or body wash that suits your skin type.
2. The next step is exfoliating your skin.
Take 1 teaspoon of sugar, 1 teaspoon of honey and a slice of lemon. Mix them with light hands such that the grains of sugar doesn’t dissolve or it’s better to add sugar later.
Take the lemon slice and dip it into the mixture and scrub the area from which you wish to remove the tan. Do it for 5-10 minutes. After that wash that area with lukewarm water.
3. The mask. Take 2 teaspoon of gram flour, 1 teaspoon of turmeric, 2 teaspoon of rose water. Mix them well.
After that add milk to it so that it maintains the proper thickness of a mask.
Apply the mask on to the tanned skin area and let it dry for 15-20 minutes.
After that just apply a little water on to your skin and massage the mask on to you skin for about 2-3 minutes and then wash that area.
Repeat the above said procedure for 7-10 days (I am giving a limit because different skin types takes different time and of course it depends on the density of the tan). It is advisable to do it before taking a shower.
Warning: During the entire duration of this treatment you have to protect your skin from sun, cover that skin area so that it doesn’t get exposed to sun,,,just applying sunscreen won’t do anything)
The tutorials that tell you that their process removes tan completely within 5 minutes or 15 minutes is completely fake.
According to me the tan removal treatment takes time and cannot be done within minutes. It is impossible. So guys don’t believe in those methods.
